SUSPICIOUS PERSON:
Going door to door in
residential areas.
Person goes in the
back yard or side yard of a house or business.
Waiting in front
of a house or business
Forcing entrance
to or tampering with a business, residence, or vehicle etc.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLES:
Slow moving vehicles
without lights on, or following an aimless course.
Vehicles being
loaded with valuables if parked by closed business or unoccupied residence.
Abandoned
vehicles.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY INVOLVING PROPERTY:
Property offered for
sale at a low price.
Property in
vehicles that is not normally found in a vehicle, (TV sets, stereos, guns, or
auto parts).
OTHER SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY:
Continuous repair
operations at a non– business location.
Open or broken
windows or doors.
Unusual noise or
activity, such as gunshots, screaming, sounds of combat, abnormally barking
dogs, anything suggestive of foul play, danger or illegal activity should be
reported.
Excessive car or
people activity at all hours.
A person
exhibiting unusual mental or physical symptoms may be injured, under the
influence of drugs, or otherwise needing medical or psychiatric assistance.
While some, if not
all, of the suspicious situations described could have innocent explanations,
the police would rather investigate a possible crime situation than be called
after the fact-when it is too late.
