DIVISIONS

The following departments within the Palatka Police Department are ready to assist you with your questions or comments:

    Administration Division

Administration consists of command staff and clerical staff responsible for the operations of the Palatka Police Department.  Administration oversees policy decisions, training, personnel, accreditation, finance and internal affairs. 

    Patrol Division

The Patrol Division consists of 39 fulltime officers on rotating 12 hour shifts...

    Detective Division

The Detective Division handles major case investigations and follow-up criminal investigations...

    Street Crimes Division

The Street Crime Unit handles special operations and drug investigations...

    Crime Analysis Unit

Provides statistical data on crimes and crime trends... 

    Animal Control

      The Animal Control Unit is responsible for handling animal complaints of all types.

     Accreditation Unit

The Accreditation Unit is responsible for documenting the department's operations to insure that we are meeting the standards set by the Florida commission on Law Enforcement Accreditation.
